Two People Killed After Car Pulls in Front of Motorcycle

There are all kinds of auto accidents involving all kinds of different sizes and types of motor vehicles. However, crashes involving motorcycles are usually some of the worst kinds of accidents, because they are often fatal. There are many motorcyclists on the road and while many other motorists are aware of bikers and give them their proper respect, many other drivers do not exercise enough caution around motorcycles. Additionally, because motorcycles are smaller than cars, trucks and SUVs sometimes other motorists don’t see them as well. All of these factors can, and do, lead to accidents.

Two people were killed in a recent motorcycle crash involving another car in the Cicero area. Both of the victims were riding on the motorcycle when the crash occurred. According to the accident report, the two people on the bike were heading east on West Ogden Avenue when the other vehicle crashed into them while it attempted to pull out onto the road in front of them. One of the victims was a 26-year-old woman from Chicago, who died at the scene, while the other victim, who also died at the scene, was a 33-year-old man from Lyons.

It was not reported as to whether or not the driver of the car was injured or if he or she was carrying any passengers at the time of the accident. In addition, authorities have not released any further details as to what caused the crash. It was not known at the time of this report whether or not the driver of the car did not see the motorcycle or whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Likewise, authorities did not say whether or not they had cited the driver of the car with any infractions.

If it turns out the driver of the car in this accident is charged with an infraction and he or she is fully responsible for the crash, then the families of the victims could seek compensation for their loss and suffering. Motorcycle accidents often occur due to negligence on the part of another vehicle, which is why you should contact an experienced motorcycle accident attorney.
